A Little Bit of Everything

Some of these thing I’ve been wanting to blog about for awhile, but didn’t think they needed a post all to their own. I’m putting them here now mainly to appease my sister who apparently stalks my blog, (I promise I’ll try to update here more frequently for you).

In the last month some of my studio materials came in. I ordered my folders and bags to present my clients’ orders to them. I love the color and am completely happy with this style. I didn’t want to go to overboard yet on materials, so I just ordered some basics to start my stock. I’m thinking I may order some stickers to spruce these up too and make them more unique.

Before I went to Montana I placed my order for my business flyer/welcome letter and I was so happy with this when I opened the box. The colors and the quality of the printing was beautiful! (Yes I still need to mail this to my sister and to my RIT “Daughter” who will be reading this…I’ll get on the ball I promise!!!)

Next Up! I tend to get in these moods where I need to start a hobby and this has led to me teaching myself webdesign, doing photoshop artwork, collecting postcards, and now knitting hats to later use for photo props. A few weeks ago I was looking through my daily list of blogs and flickr galleries and saw someone mention something called a knitting loom that I thought would be helpful. That night I went out and bought it and have already made a few hats. Now I need to make one for my twin cousins since they love them, maybe I’ll even teach them so they can make their own.

Saturday morning, before my scheduled evening wedding, I had my first table at an expo. This was at the local middle school for the “Union County Expo & Health Fair”. I think this was great for me and let more people know where I was located and that they now had a local photography studio to visit. For my first table, and me being more of a shy person, I don’t think I did too bad.

Lastly I want to leave with this little story that my dad sent me a couple days ago – sometimes he forwards me things I like and this is one of them.

When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy”. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life.

I hope you enjoyed this “little bit of everything” about the things going on with my life and my business right now.

Take care!!!
