Traci Murphy Blog Blitz [3]

Woot! Time for another blog blitz! These are seriously fun & I’m glad I signed up. I was worried this week that I wouldn’t have time to create something since the power was out here for about 15 hrs, but it’s all up & photoshop has been opened!

Traci MurphyGo to the O blog for the start of the tour & other stops to hit along the way… Traci Murphy, also known as Traci Murphy Designs, is a fun-loving, social butterfly, totally disorganized, spur of the moment, take on the world mom of three kids who make her totally crazy happy and wife to the complete opposite, which is what keeps her grounded. You can learn more about her by visiting the Oscraps Blog!

And don’t forget to read to the bottom of this post as Traci has a big contest is going on!

Ring It In by Traci Murphy

Note: I was provided a copy this kit by Traci Murphy, a designer at This review was not influenced by a free kit – just in case you (or the FTC) were worried about this detail.

Now onto my review!

Like the last blog blitz, this is my first experience with the work of this designer, Traci Murphy. And just looking in her store I LOVE her use of colors & patterns.

That being said, once I opened up this kit I fell in love with her patterns! I knew I had to use them, all of them! To do so I pulled out a random template with LOTS of paper spots to go crazy with, (Template by Busy Bee Designs @ Mscraps).

Traci’s color palette was gorgeous & so fun to work with! Just in making this page I was thinking of other ways to use the patterns as a main focal point too instead of layering.

The one thing I would have liked was a few more generic elements in the kit just to make it a little more versatile for other photos since I don’t have many party ones, lol! I did think the theme was wonderful & the mask is what gave me an idea to grab these photos to use. Oh! And I love those glittered fireworks!

After adding wordart from Sue Cummings, also at the O, I called it done!
Below is the page I made with “Ring It In”.

Ring It In LO

Following is Traci’s description of this kit & a link to it at the O:

“Ring It In: With it’s vibrant colors and eye popping elements, this kit will definitely help you ‘ring in’ any kind of celebration in your life! It includes 23 hand distressed papers, alpha, symbols and number set, 2 decorative holiday masks, 1 distressed brush frame with word art, 3 curly ribbons, 2 glittered fireworks, 1 dazzling swirl, 1 journal paper.”
