Thursday: Snails

I’ve been in a nostalgic mood this week in looking at older photos, so for this Thursday post I went through my scanned images folder & came upon the two beauties posted below that were taken almost 11 years ago.
“Nostalgia is a necessary thing, I believe, and a way for all of us to find peace in that which we have accomplished, or even failed to accomplish.” – R.A. Salvatore
I’ve been blessed with two beautiful twin cousins that have humored me their whole lives with my photography adventures since I was 13 years old. Pictured here is Savanna & I can’t believe this girl is 13 herself now!!
I loved, and still love, the curiosity of a child at seeing something new for the first time & I like to think, or hope, I still possess this curiosity myself.
In other news, I haven’t kept up with one of the January goals I wrote about for Inspire | 52 Fridays: 1, so instead of beating myself up about it I’m heading over to edit the post to say I just want to blog more! I want to get more comfortable here & I want to find my voice.
Anyway! Happy Thursday!!
Well, she is just a cutie! I’m sure she still is at 13!
What a beautiful pic! Love the movement and that sweet face. I bet she’s a beauty at 13 too.
Don’t beat yourself up. I have been blogging since 2006 and it took me years to find my voice! I would visit other bloggers who were so eloquent or witty, or who had seemed to build an audience overnight and I would think, what the heck am I doing?! lol. Something kept me going though. I knew if I stuck it out long enough the reward would come. And it did eventually! I am still a work in progress, as is my blog, but it’s a piece of me, and of my life that I am so glad I have recorded. I found myself again through blogging and photography after I had kind of just become a mom and wife. I have made some precious friendship too.
Hang in there. It will get easier and you’ll find a rhythm 🙂
This inspires me to keep photographing my babies. I know I’ll be so glad in 10 years. What a doll she was!
