This post will be a constantly edited, updated, work-in-progress, account of Project Life for me as well as links for extra inspiration.
December 1, 2011: Decided to start recording my life with Becky Higgins’ Project Life system.
To me Project Life is where I can record the significant and alternately the seemingly insignificant moments in my every day life. It’s about the people I am around or the moments I’m alone or the times with just my dog. It’s about seeing or seeking more in my life/for my life. Project Life is a place for me to put all the things from the places I go that I’d be keeping anyway & being okay with tossing things if they don’t make it into my album. It’s a record of SOMETHING I did each day, (mostly, but not always photographed that day). Something big. Something small. Something just for me.
While Project Life is primarily for me in album form, the process has meant that I’ve been better about sharing photos with my family & has meant having my camera out more even in moments of struggle. It’s making me a bit more brave in asking for family members to be in front of the camera, or even me in front of the camera more. It’s made me value even more the time spent with my family.
I’ve always taken too many photos, (if there can be such a thing), but with Project Life I’m actually DOING something with them. Sharing them. Touching them. Remembering more. Loving Life.

My starting post “Joining The PL Wagon” talks about my first set of supplies & my thoughts on why thought this journey would be right for me.
